Everyone should have some of these . . . .
5 litres of PVA adhesive. If you buy one of these you'll probably never need to buy any more general purpose glue during your lifetime. What a saving!!
From builder's merchants. At about a tenner for the can it's a lot cheaper per litre than a small pot of the stuff.
5 litres cellulose thinners. If you buy one of these you'll have a superb solvent for a whole range of things for which water (the greatest solvent of all) is no use. Just don't breathe it in and remember it's very inflammable and can damage paint - which makes it a good paint stripper.
It's far cheaper than buying Halfords' small cans of thinners.
Plus, it's one 60th of the price of Hammerite thinners for cleaning Hammerite brushes. (Don't thin Hammerite with it, though!).
Removes black marker ink.

A can of Fareclas G7. Great for polishing chrome. There are other grades as well.
Plus, if you have any badly coffee or tea stained mugs or cups this will quickly remove the stain. It's slightly abrasive, so does the trick.

Garden furniture wonky? Slats coming apart?
